老土怪庄主依据着记忆,寻找忠于原味的南洋美食,北上南下,乡镇还保有传统制做法,皆属人间至宝:槟榔屿淡汶饼,怡保鸡仔饼、蜂蜜桔子,邦咯岛鳕鱼酥,马六甲榴莲糕、椰子饼、虾丝卷,柔佛肉骨茶,张洪品尝仔细,以上植根在梦魂滋味,属“张洪”土产。其兄长老张亦属于择善固执之人,远至国外,找到古早原味,一如糙米饼、香甜芒果干,是异国寻求的成果,故另立“老张记”品牌。张家庄罗织了小食,无需他求,南洋美味全尽于此。

Story of Zhang Village


Guided by his memory, down-to-earth and eccentric Master Cheong has gone on a journey to discover the authentic Nanyang cuisine which has remained true to its original flavour.

In the north and the south, there are still villages which have retained the traditional methods of making and cooking these delicacies.

The culinary treasures are the tambun biscuits of Pulau Pinang, Ipoh chicken-flavoured biscuit and honey lime juice, Pulau Pangkor fillet cracker with seaweed, Malacca durian cake, coconut biscuit, prawn roll and Johor Bak Kut Teh.

With every bite, Cheong Hoong has taken time to slowly savour and find the precise ‘original' taste which defines the Cheong Hoong products. His elder brother, Old Cheong is another determined man who has travelled as far Overseas to search for the original traditional cuisien.

He found the other brown rice crackers and natural mango slices. Hence, he establishes Lao Zhang Ji brand which caters to tidbits found in the Nanyang.
